An unpretentious, compassionate mentor.

Funny what people have said about me. Truth is, my dominant “woman-at-the-well” genes often overrode the few Mother Teresa instructions my brain expressed.
For years, I didn’t like people. I much preferred solitude and disconnection. A victim of abuse, I feared community. My emotional brokenness robbed me of intimacy while the isolation nurtured my bitterness.
Then, I met Jesus. And He was all about relationship.
What to do now?
I prayed. Isn’t that what Christians do?
“God, I’m thrilled about the changes you’ve made in my life. But I think this one might be too big—even for you.” I stood straight and pressed my eyes in a silent plea. “Can you teach me how to connect with women? Will you give me a love for others much like the love You have for me?”
He did. And I do.
Love you that is.
And it is the work of a mesmerizing, redemptive God who uses every ounce of our pain for His purposes if we surrender it to Him. Through God's grace, I am passionate about making a difference in your life.
I long to walk alongside you as we invite the Holy Spirit to uncover the beauty tucked deep within any unresolved pain which lingers in your heart.

“God comes alongside us when we go through hard times,
and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else
who is going through hard times so that we can be there
for that person just as God was there for us.”
Cor 2:1-4 The Message (NavPress 2002)
